ALAMO SQUARE
Central & Trendy
Located in the center of the city, Alamo Square is an ideal location to purchase a home. Flanked by the area’s lush Panhandle park and the Western Addition, this neighborhood of San Francisco is peaceful, yet packed with local coffee shops and businesses. Being in the center of the city, residents have easy access to popular gathering spots and notable destinations and transportation services.
Two major thoroughfares, Oak and Fell Streets, define the area. This area is filled with wood-floored, single-pane window Victorian homes and Edwardian buildings with many that have been split up into condos with decently tall ceilings, plaster walls, and split bathrooms. The ones that have been restored may be TICs for a while but renovations of big houses can be stunning, expensive and more traditional: think Restoration Hardware. Parking tends to be tandem or squeezed into low-clearance garages unless steel beams were added.
This is not just where I live, it’s where I spend most of my time. I run the Panhandle in the morning, I play fetch with my dog in Alamo Square Park, and I shop/eat/drink up and down Divisadero St.

Dining & Entertainment
Baretta - (originally in the Mission) has a pop-up on the corner of Divisadero & Grove. It’s the best Italian food west of Van Ness Ave!
The Mill - I’m not even a coffee drinker but they offer all kinds of goodies to eat and drink and it’s a great place to sit and catch up on your work or with a good friend. Also home to Josey Baker and his famous bread!
4505 Meats - The best barbecue in town and a quick place to grab a delicious bite outdoors. Anthony Bourdain famously ate here on his last trip to San Francisco.
Bean Bag Cafe - A great spot to grab a breakfast burrito and do some work.
Emporium SF - A huge space loaded with fun games such as air hockey, speed ball, video games, etc with delicious specialty cocktails. A great first date spot!
The Independent - A mainstay of the neighborhood boasting international musical acts with a laidback vibe.
